The Legion Veterans Village is a $312M social infrastructure investment in Surrey, British Columbia, and Canada’s first Centre of Excellence for veterans and first responders that focuses on post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and mental health. Designed to resemble forms of the Canadian National Vimy Memorial in France, the multi-purpose facility will feature PTSD and Mental Health Clinics, an Innovation Centre for Rehabilitation, social and affordable housing, and a state-of-the-art community centre for the Whalley Legion Branch 229 including a social lounges, dining facilities and outdoor garden spaces.
