The Gabriola Fire Hall involved building a new 4 tandem bay (for 8 vehicles) with operational facilities across 14,000 square feet. The fire hall includes gear storage, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), a workshop, as well as administrative areas, crew quarters and a small multipurpose room. Sustainable features such as a green roof, implementation of a septic field, and site bioswale were also incorporated in the design.
