Lark Group is beginning construction on the new German-Canadian long-term care home, which will accommodate 178 residents—46 more than the existing facility. Designed to bring the comfort of home to complex care, the facility will feature 15 households with private rooms and ensuite washrooms, shared kitchens, dining areas, lounges and personal laundry facilities.
Neighbourhood spaces will connect households, providing places for residents and families to gather. A central village space will include a community hall, library, spa, art room and conservatory, alongside treatment and rehabilitation rooms that support German Canadian’s Comfortzeit® care model and residents’ independence and well-being.
